WhatsApp Launches Screen Sharing Feature for Video Calls: Here’s How to Use It.

MENLO PARK WhatsApp brings a new feature to users which allows to share screen during video call. New features It’s available to some beta testers right now, but will be rolling out to more people in the coming days.

According to WaBetaInfo, this instant messaging app owned by Meta is releasing a screen sharing feature as well as a new placement for tabs in the bottom navigation bar. After clicking the new icon in the call control view, you will be able to share your screen with others.

Your screen will be recorded and shared. Older versions of Android may not be able to use this feature. Also, it won’t work in large group calls as well as those using older versions of the app.

“Users will be able to have full control as they can stop sharing their screen whenever they want. In addition, this feature will only be activated with your consent,” wrote the news page, Sunday (28/5/2023).

Apart from that, users noticed a slight change in the navigation bar at the bottom with the tabs rearranged in some way. “In particular, some users may now see tabs in the bottom navigation bar in this order: Chats, Calls, Community and Status,” said the WhatsApp observer.

Previously, WhatsApp brought changes to voice and video calls by enhancing them. The change also introduces the missed calls color change for the Android version of the app.

Meta is also developing the ability to set a WhatsApp username, this feature could allow you to message people without having their phone number.
