On Saturday, May 27, at the GAM Cultural Center, the album will be presented Chilean music for voice and piano, by the professors of the UC Music Institute Claudia Godoy and Eun Seong Hong. This production was financed by the Music Fund and includes creations by four national composers.

“This project arises from the need to create a new current repertoire for this configuration of the voice with the piano, which comes from the German tradition of the song. The idea is to refresh the current repertoire a bit, especially Chilean and in our own language , in order to generate new material for young singers”, highlights mezzo-soprano Claudia Godoy, who began teaching classes at the UC Music Institute this semester. “I am very happy that they have summoned me to the Catholic University,” she admits.

It also stands out that the album was recorded in the San Mateo de Música UC Hall, on the East Campus. The production is already available on digital platforms such as Spotify, but it was also published as physical CDs, which can be purchased at launch.
