“DPS Chairman Mustafa Karadai Under Attack: Honorary Chairman Ahmed Dogan Speaks Out”

Any attack on the DPS chairman is an attack on the DPS and its voters.

This was stated by the honorary chairman of the DPS, Dr. Ahmed Dogan, in a special message to the dispatchers. It was read by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Filiz Huysmenova, in front of the thousands of people in the village of Medovets, where the DPS celebrated the anniversary of the May events in 1989 and honored the heroes of democracy during the so-called “revival process”.

“DPS must withstand the political vicissitudes of the times! And let our chairman Mr. Mustafa Karadai continue to represent us confidently, wisely and prospectively,” said Dr. Ahmed Dogan, quoted by the DPS website.

His special address to the party active comes amid rumors that changes may be brewing in the DPS, after the press center quoted a birthday greeting from Dogan to Karadayi at the beginning of the month. In it, the honorary chairman wished the party leader to find the Measure. Apart from the very call for the opening of the measure in the personal and the European, the fact that it was specially distributed by the press center of the DPS made an impression – something that is not usually practiced.

This was followed by Karadayi’s absence from the Demir Baba Teke commemorative assembly last weekend, which was also read as a sign of some turmoil – the chairman has not missed the assembly there in years, which also commemorates the victims of the May events.

Again, according to observers, Karadai and Dogan went separately to the special concert of Lili Ivanova and sat too far from each other in the National Theater.

The topic was also discussed at the dramatic meeting of the PP last Sunday, recordings of which were released yesterday by the breakaway from Slavi and current MP from “Promyanata” Radostin Vassilev.

“Within 4-5 weeks there will be a new chairman of the DPS”, is heard on the recording distributed by the former sports minister, and the voice resembles that of MP Nastimir Ananiev. “Karadai’s head will be replaced,” he says.

Most likely, this is what Dogan was referring to when he said that Qaradayi has become the target of destructive activity by political forces pushing dividing lines.

Now the special address of the honorary chairman, not by chance – according to acquaintances, read by Filiz Huysmenova, comes to reassure people and others that “DPS will resist the political upheavals” led by its leader Mustafa Karadai.

Dear Mr. President,

dear dispatchers!

First of all, I want to congratulate you on the “May Events” in 1989.

Your political courage in our struggle for basic human rights and freedoms laid the foundation for Democracy in Bulgaria. I salute you for your dedication and determination!

The second thing I want to share with you are my worries and concerns about the latest distorted forms of democracy in Bulgaria. There are political forces that are creating new dividing lines and purposefully fueling hate speech.

One of the clear targets of this destructive activity is again the DPS and its chairman Mr. Mustafa Karadai.

I want to state clearly: Any attack against the DPS chairman is an attack against the DPS and its voters.

DPS must withstand the political vicissitudes of time! And let our chairman, Mr. Mustafa Karadai, continue to represent us confidently, intelligently and prospectively.
