Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Ittihad Jeddah Club won the title of the Saudi “Roshan” League competition for the 2022/23 season, after defeating its counterpart Al-Fayhaa on the latter’s land and among its supporters, with a score of 0/3, on Saturday evening.
The “Tigers” team won the title one round before the end, after occupying the top of the standings with 69 points, 5 points ahead of its rival, Al-Nasr.
Ittihad Jeddah Club succeeded in achieving the Saudi League title after an absence of 13 years, as its last coronation in the competition dates back to the 2008/2009 season.
This title is the ninth for the “Tigers” team throughout the history of its participation in the competition, with a difference of 9 titles from the most gold-winning club, Al-Hilal Club.
The Jeddah Federation also guaranteed participation in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
