That was not only seen after the worthless 2:1 against Oldenburg in the end. “He is the link between the fans and the team,” said coach Markus Anfang recently. “Kutsche” has only one goal for the next season: promotion!
The game was over, the results of the other three games leaked out. Osnabrück snatched the qualification for the DFB Cup from Dynamo in the last few seconds and rose through the 2-1 win over Dortmund II.
The players sank onto the lawn, bitter tears flowed. And then happened what makes Dynamo Dresden special. The followers stayed. The K-Block celebrated the pros. No bad words, approval, cheers, applause!

“A big thank you for what you tore off here. First half of the season, second half of the season – you made headlines across Germany, even across Europe. I used to stand over there in the stands. What has always welded us together was cohesion. Take this power from the second half of the season we with,” he said, repeatedly interrupted by “dynamo calls”.
“We’ll take that with us. Next year we’ll get what’s due to us. We’ll take the club to where it once was. Dynamo for life!” he literally shouted into the microphone.
Kutschke has raised the bar for the 2023/24 season, but he didn’t move away from it minutes later in the mixed zone. “The second half of the season was the starting signal for the new season. Hold on to the structure, with this coach, with this staff. Attack next year. Similar to 2015: Say straight what we want to do. Dynamo has to lead the way. That has to be the direction of march.” he said almost a little defiantly.

Now the season is over. Time to lick the wounds, to let your soul dangle. “We haven’t been able to plan vacations yet. I’ll take care of my family first, my wife, my daughter. That’s not enough now. But then there’s the duty again to make the club what it is is worth.”
