The sources confirmed that the clashes took place between the two parties with heavy weapons inside El Fasher neighborhoods, confirming the displacement of large numbers to the south.
Simultaneously, clashes renewed in Khartoum today, Saturday, intermittently, while the army closed the Al-Fatihab bridge linking Khartoum and Omdurman.
Since the middle of last month, fierce fighting has been taking place between the two major military forces in the country, but the intensity of the clashes has subsided a few days ago, after the two sides signed a short 7-day truce, sponsored by Saudi Arabia and the United States.
While the displacement of civilians continues, amidst a shortage of bread, flour, and other food and medical supplies.
This prompted the United Nations to warn repeatedly that the continued flow of refugees to neighboring countries could herald a disaster.
So far, more than 1.3 million people have been forced to flee their homes, and the conflict threatens to destabilize the wider region.
It is noteworthy that the vast region of Darfur, which is inhabited by several Arab and African tribes, and is famous for agriculture, and its area is approximately equal to France, abounds with painful memories of the grinding civil war that lasted for years, leaving thousands of dead, in addition to major massacres between the tribes, two decades ago.
