A TV production crew member who was pushed off the field by Davante Admas last October has filed a civil lawsuit against the wide receiver, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Park Zebley claims he feared for his life immediately after the alleged attack and was diagnosed with symptoms of a concussion. He was also attacked on the Internet. He filed the lawsuit this month.
But what happened? On the way from the field to the dressing room, the wide receiver collided with Zebley. Multiple videos show Adams shoving Zebley as he crosses his path, stopping briefly to stare at him as he lies on the ground. As a result of the incident, the Raiders star is facing an assault charge in Kansas City Municipal Court. Adams has his next hearing there on June 26.
After being pushed by Raiders star Adams: Zebley demands compensation
According to Zebley, however, these charges are not sufficient. He told The Star: “I’m looking for justice. You can’t push someone down and pretend nothing happened. Not in real life.”
Accordingly, he is suing Adams for assault. The Raiders are also liable because they are his employer. He also accuses the Chiefs, the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark Events Staffing of negligence.
Adams apologized shortly after the incident. The 30-year-old was not penalized by the NFL. “We are in the early stages of this matter but he is seeking redress for what happened to him and if a jury has to decide then they will,” said Zebley’s attorney.
