Arrests made in extortion case involving Bay of Guayaquil merchant

“HWe must reach an agreement on the pending matter with us. If you do not want to collaborate, it will be by another way that will be more expensive for you”, indicates part of the letter delivered to a merchant from the Bay of Guayaquil, victim of extortion, since last January.

The alleged perpetrators of this crime were arrested at dawn on Friday, May 26, close to the José Joaquín de Olmedo airport, in the north of Buenos Aires.

According to police information, the criminals mThey claimed to be members of a criminal organization and demanded $20,000 from the victim or else they would kill him or his relatives. They also sent him photos and videos of his business premises.
