(CercleFinance.com) – The US consumer confidence index calculated by the University of Michigan (UMich) came out at 59.2 in final data for the month of May, compared to a preliminary estimate which was 57, 7.
This revision therefore reflects a weaker contraction than initially estimated compared to April, a month for which the UMich index stood at 63.5, a month-on-month decline driven both by the evaluation of the current situation and by anticipations.
