The town hall of arrondissement 6 of Bobo held its first extraordinary session of the year 2023, this Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Among the points under discussion, the implementation of the clearance of land liabilities.
Faced with the crucial problem of housing and in order to preserve social cohesion and living together, the town hall of arrondissement 6 of Bobo is committed to the implementation of the clearance of land liabilities. The subject was at the center of the discussions during the extraordinary session of Wednesday May 24, 2023. On this occasion, the members of the special delegation recognized the existence of serious irregularities in the management of the plots under the previous terms of office. According to the President of the special delegation (PDS), Salamata Sinaré, the fault lies above all with the administration of the town hall. “The current land situation in arrondissement 06 is somewhat the same in almost all the arrondissements with some exceptions. We are going to ask the populations to understand that it is not all the non-lotis who are concerned in the clearance of liabilities. Because there are problem places. The area had been parceled out but there are people who had no plots, they are still on plots allocated to other people. These are the cases that must be resolved to allow the beneficiaries to enhance their plots, ” she explains. And to add: “We have more than 1,700 people identified in the borough with several problems combined. We find there the non-attributed censuses, double attributions. For example, if the administration takes a plot that it assigns to several people, it is an administrative fault and it is up to it to find the solution. There are also landowners who claim not to be compensated following subdivisions operated by the borough when they were evicted from the camp”.
There is still space to satisfy people
According to the PDS, the Borough Council has taken stock of the situation and intends to work as quickly as possible to resolve these land issues. “To want is to can ! If we decide now, this year, we can find space to satisfy people. But the longer we leave it lying around, we will have difficulty finding land to make this development, ” emphasizes Salamata Sinaré. Coincidence for coincidence, this extraordinary session is being held the day after the arrest by the courts of the former mayor of the district, Hyppolite Sitlè Sanou (2015-2022). On hearing more about this case, sources attest that his arrest would probably be linked to the management of the plots during his magisterium. The second item on the agenda for this session is the creation of an unstructured market in sector 18. On this point, the PDS explains that: “ The sector already has two markets. We realized that it was the secondary market plan that the technicians used for the plot. Of which at the end, when we left for the field for the implementation, this posed a problem. That’s why we came back so that the special delegation could give its approval for the start of the work.”.
