“Gabi Nunes: Former Corinthians Player and Greatest Scorer in Women’s Football History”

Former Corinthians player, Gabi Nunes used her free time to watch the white-and-white team’s overwhelming defeat of SKA Brasil, this Thursday night, for Paulistão. The striker came to Brazil after saying goodbye to Madrid CFF, from Spain, where he worked for two seasons.

Gabi Nunes’s trip to Arena Barueri caught the attention of Fiel, which began to reflect on the possibility of the player’s return. Vic Albuquerque, however, said he was unaware of a possible negotiation, but said he was hoping to return to work alongside the striker. The players shared the lawns at Timão and at the Spanish club.

“If I had known, I would have already spoken. But let’s hope something happens”, said shirt number 17 to the SporTV report.

Nunes adds a victorious passage through the Parque São Jorge club. In five seasons wearing the alvinegras colors, between 2016 and 2021, the player went to the field on 115 occasions, with 90 wins, 15 draws and ten defeats, and scored 77 goals. The numbers make the striker the greatest scorer in Timão’s history in women’s football.

She participated in all seven titles won by the team in the period: the 2016 Copa do Brasil, the 2017 Copa Libertadores, the 2018, 2020 and 2021 Brazilians and the 2019 and 2020 Paulistas. Corinthians still had a partnership with Osasco Audax.

At Madrid CFF, Gabi Nunes participated in 58 games and left his mark with goals on 17 occasions, in addition to contributing with another 11 assists. Now, the 26-year-old player is free on the market and waits for new proposals to decide her next destination.
