In Jelgava, the open-air concert hall “Mītava” will be operating for the fourth year this summer on the island of Pasta. The season will be opened on May 27 at 7 p.m. at the sign of the upcoming General Latvian Song and Dance Festival, gathering several hundred choristers and dancers in the “Latvian Song and Dance” concert.

At the height of summer, on June 3rd, the group “Zodiaks” will start their farewell tour in Jelgava, but an ambitious event is expected on the evening of June 20th, when the Riga Opera Festival Gala concert organized by the Latvian National Opera and Ballet will take place in “Mītava” for the second year in a row.
June, as usual, also marks the mark of the International Sand Sculpture Festival, when sculptors from nine countries will arrive in Jelgava, and the festival’s entertainment program will include performances by beloved musicians – “Sudden Lights”, “Iron Wolf”, Lauris Reiniks, “Credo”, “Very Cool” People” and Paula Sai.
In the continuation of the summer, several expected events are planned – gatherings of Latvian singing actors, Brazilian carnival show, Alex’s memorial concert, as well as many big concerts of Latvian artists – “Jumprava”, “Minuet”, “Chameleons”, Marija Naumova, etc.
The central event of July will be the reunion of the band “Pērkons” and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, while, as the end of summer approaches, on August 18, everyone is invited to a unique musical meeting of two Latvian music greats – “Sinfonietta Riga” and “Raxtu Raxti” will meet on the same stage for the first time.
