The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has included the American multinational confectionery, food and beverage company Mondelez International in the list of international sponsors of the war.

The agency emphasizes that Mondelez International did not withdraw from the Russian Federation after the start of a full-scale war.

“The interests of the company, which has an annual income of about $ 26 billion and operates in 160 countries of the world, is represented on the Russian market by Mon’delis Rus LLC, which has three plants: the Bolshevik factory, which produces Jubilee cookies, OREO, ” Barney Bear” and TUC crackers, production in Pokrov (Alpen Gold chocolate, “Vozdushny”, Milka and Picnic bar), a plant in Veliky Novgorod (Dirol chewing gum and Halls lollipops).

The company is the market leader in confectionery products in the categories of chocolate, chocolates and biscuits, and also ranks second in the category of chewing gum and hard candy.

According to the results of the military 2022, the profit of the Russian branch of Mondelez International amounted to $339 million (+303% per year), revenue – more than $1 billion (+38% per year). The company replenished the aggressor’s budget by more than $61 million in taxes, the NACP noted.

It is noted that after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Mondelez employees in the Baltic region covering Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia sent a petition to the company’s CEO Dirk Van de Put with a request to stop all business in Russia, to which Mondelez responded formally – announced the suspension of new investments and investment in advertising in Russia.
