PlayStation Showcase was not only a preview of upcoming games, but also new gaming equipment. Sony has officially confirmed what has been unofficially talked about for a long time. He really is going to handheld, which will be used to stream games from the PS5. So it’s not a successor to PlayStation Vita or PSP.
According to insiders, the handheld is called Q Lite, it is equipped with an 8-inch screen and has a controller on each side. It looks like a DualSense with a screen instead of a touchpad. We currently don’t know what will be inside the device and whether it will be able to do anything other than stream PS5 games.
Tom Henderson previously reported that the handheld will be able to play games at 1080p resolution at up to 60 frames per second. The large 8-inch screen is supposed to be a touch LCD display.
They go hand in hand with the new device plug-in wireless headphones. But we don’t know anything detailed about them either. Therefore, we will again use older information. The headphones are supposed to have a working name of Project Noman and last approximately 5 hours on a single charge. This is similar to Apple’s AirPods, but slightly less than Sony’s WF-1000XM3 (6 hours). They are expected to include a charging case that can be connected to the PS5 via USB-C. This is how the headphones are also supposed to be updated.
At the time, there was also talk of a new wireless PS5 headset called Voyager. It should boast similar functions as Inzone H7.
The much-speculated new model of the PS5 console with a removable Blu-ray drive didn’t even happen at the PlayStation Showcase.
