The eleventh batch consisting of 14,400 doses of bivalent vaccines to combat the Covid-19 arrived in the country to reinforce the Vaccination Program developed by the National Government which remains in force at the national level.
The Ministry of Health through the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI) reported the arrival of a new shipment of bivalent vaccines which will reinforce the Vaccination Program that is carried out throughout the national territory for people over 12 years of age, as indicated by Itzel S. de Hewitt, national coordinator of the PAI.
Hewitt noted that these doses will be dispatched starting tomorrow at 15 Health Regions to protect the 12-year-old population that needs the booster application.
“I call on parents to take their children to be vaccinated since we have entered the rainy season. Likewise, older adults and people with some degree of disability are being offered all the vaccines against respiratory viruses that are available. circulating,” Hewitt said.
The Minsa reiterates to the population that, due to the rainy season, respiratory viruses have been increasing and the population is recommended to go to health centers, sub-centers and Police Centers throughout the country. Vaccines save lives and are free.
