TASS, 24 May. Inter Milan beat Fiorentina Florence 2-1 in the Coppa Italia final to win the trophy. The meeting took place on Wednesday at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
As part of the winners, Lautaro Martinez scored two goals (29th and 37th minutes). The losers scored Nicholas Gonzalez (3).
Martinez’s first goal was the 100th for the Argentine footballer for Inter in all competitions. The 25-year-old striker is the 2022 World Champion and the 2021 America’s Cup winner. He has been playing for the Milan team since 2018 and has played 235 games.
Inter won the Coppa Italia for the second time in a row, in the final of the last tournament, the team beat Turin’s Juventus with a score of 4:2 in extra time. Inter have won the Coppa Italia for the ninth time and are tied for second with Roma. The record holder is Juventus, who won 14 times. Fiorentina have won the trophy six times, the last time the Florentines won in 2001.
