Websites and social media on which people write about topics such as the climate crisis, populism or housing shortages are potential sources for researchers in the future. That is why these websites, forums, tweets and videos should be better preserved in the Netherlands than is currently the case. This is what the KB National Library and the University of Groningen (RUG) argue in an open letter published by de Volkskrant, in which they also argue for a change in the law.
