The Ministry of Public Service, Labor and Social Protection held a press briefing on the organization of professional and direct competitions session 2023. It was this May 23, 2023 in Ouagadougou.
For the year 2023, the Ministry of the Public Service intends to fill 5,383 positions in professional competitions and 7,218 positions in direct competitions. According to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Service, Labor and Social Protection, Hamidou Sawadogo, for this session, 128 professional competitions will be organized, including 106 with electronic composition in the unique center of Ouagadougou. The other 22 classic events will take place on the table due to high numbers. Thus, on behalf of the professional competitions, online registrations began on May 22 and will continue until the evening of May 31. And the administration of the tests will begin from the second half of June 2023, says Hamidou Sawadogo. As far as direct competitions are concerned, 127 are planned and online registration will be done in two phases: from June 05 to 14, 2023, competitions at a level higher than or equal to the Baccalaureate, and from June 15 to 24, 2023, BEPC level competition. The written tests for the direct competitions are scheduled for the month of August.
Also, for this edition, the ministry is innovating with the internalization of the e-competition platform, the establishment of an SMS system to inform candidates about their programs and their various results in the competitions, the diversification of means of payment as well as as the administration of decentralized professional health competitions on the table and the increase in the number of positions in direct competitions exclusively dedicated to people living with visual, hearing and physical disabilities. As for the budget allocated to the organization of these competitions, Hamidou Sawadogo affirms that it has been revised downwards, from more than 3 billion CFA francs to approximately 2,764,869,000 CFA francs.
The press conference ended with a visit to the call center to assist candidates having difficulties registering or paying registration fees. It is piloted by Ousseïni Gombané. The SG did not fail to reassure the candidates that all measures have been taken to avoid the excesses of previous years, in this case those of 2022.
