The interruption of tram line 6 in Bern between Muri near Bern and Worb Dorf is taking longer than expected. The trams should not run again until Friday when operations start. A tram derailed at the Siloah stop on Tuesday.

The damage could only be determined on Tuesday afternoon, as Rolf Meyer, media spokesman for Bernmobil, told the Keystone-SDA news agency on request. The track infrastructure must now be repaired. On Tuesday, Bernmobil still assumed that it would be able to resume operations on Wednesday morning.

Replacement buses drive for the passengers between Muri near Bern and Worb Dorf, as Bernmobil wrote on the short message service Twitter.
