Mohamed Abdel-Rahman – quoting his account on “Instagram”
special
“I was very happy, especially because we are here in a new experience, and we are presenting the first Ramadan series on a digital platform.”
He appeared as a guest of honor in the movie “Ibn al-Haj Ahmad” through a worker on an Arab liver, but his appearance drew laughter on the faces of everyone who was in the cinema hall, masterful in his way of making the audience agree with him in all his details, he is “the arrows of glory of men” in a hasty reveal, And he appears to the public soon with “The Boogeyman” Amir Karara, and “The Yellow Duck” Ghada Adel in their fourth collaboration. It is the artist Mohamed Abdel Rahman, who confirmed in his interview with “Al Arabiya.net” that he is happy to cooperate with Karara, and there is a strong chemistry that brings him together with Ghada. He was also happy to work with his friend “Mustafa Khater” in the experience of the series “Reveal Urgent”, which was shown last Ramadan and is being shown again on the channels.
Who offered you the job and how did you find it?
“When Karim Abu Zekri sat with me and told me the story of the work and the series, I got excited about the idea and agreed immediately, then we worked on it, and may God help us to present a good job, me and Mustafa Khater, then Shadi Al-Ramli joined us as a director for the work, and the series is a new artistic experience at the level of comedy series Generally, in terms of the subject matter, and the nature of the relationships that exist between the characters.
Through him, I presented the role of a doctor of psychiatric and neurological diseases named Siham Ezz al-Rajal, and at that time I had finished filming the movie “The Yellow Duck”, and he also appeared in the role of a university doctor, and the two works I was filming at the same time, and it was very difficult for me to separate between the two works, here is a doctor Here is a doctor as well, and if you ask, the similarity between them is psychology, here is a doctor of psychology, and there is a doctor in the series, a psychiatrist.
* And did you communicate with specialized doctors for the sake of personality?
“I did not do that. During the events, we watch the event that brings me together with Mustafa Khater, which is the journey of helping him recover as a murderer, but I prepared for work. In every professional medical detail, we used to search for the names of diseases so that they would be correct, correct and scientific to some extent.”
* How did you come up with the idea of showing the series “Urgent Revelation” first on the digital platform and then on the screen?
“I did not feel worried about showing it on the WhatsApp platform, because in the month of Ramadan I watch series on the platforms and I do not watch TV much, and here I am talking about my personal experience in terms of the fastest and most accomplished, so I was very happy, especially because we are here in a new experience, and we present the first series in Ramadan on A platform, as it is considered their first production, so the work was a challenge and motivation for me and Mustafa Khater, and we had no concern about the offer, otherwise we would have been quickly rejected.
* How were the scenes of working with director Shadi Al-Ramli?
“Shadi Al-Ramli is a great director, interested in details, and really understands comedy. We have, in fact, complete models of Karim Abu Zekri and a dangerous author, Ihab Blebel. He does not give us the opportunity to edit the paper except for the additions of the character within the script only, and this is allowed, and we also have a director who understands the script and dialogue, so all One of the work makers did their part to the fullest.”
* Director Karim El-Adl was the one who was going to direct the work, so what happened?
This is true. Karim El Adl was a director of the series before, and Karim Fahmy was also involved in the work, but because of the filming timings and they had other contracts for another work after the series “Midlife Crisis”, which is why they apologized for “urgent disclosure.”
* Is this the first work that brings you and Mustafa Khater together away from Masr Theater?
“Mustafa Khater and I focus very much, especially because it is a great responsibility, so “urgent disclosure” is the first work that brings us together in front of the camera after our cooperation in Masr Theater, and we focused well, and the most important thing is that our fatigue reaches people, and thank God we got nice echoes of the work from the audience.
* And do you see a difference in the comedy that you presented before in the Misr Theater and in “Urgent Reveal”?
“The series relies on situation comedy, far from banalities. We presented the world of crime in a different comic format, especially since the nature of strange and exciting events helped us achieve this. For many years, I have always sought to participate in works that belong to this type, despite the huge efforts it requires at the level of writing, directing and acting, but the matter in theater is completely different.
* How do you see the criticism leveled against your latest movie, “The Call in Public”?
“There are people who criticized the work without having a critical perception, and I am talking here about those who create critical content to attract many views. I always welcome criticism, but meaningful criticism. The effort of 300 people working on the film cannot be destroyed because you want to say it to attract viewers.”
* Absolute heroism is not the artist’s decision.. When did you find yourself able to be the hero of the work?
“Most of the double championships that were offered to me were absolute championships, but I was suggesting that they be a double championship, because the one-man theory no longer exists. The producer of the film found that I could present a work of my starring alone.”
How did you feel about playing your first tournament?
“I had previously played bilateral championships with Ali Rabie, in the films “Khair and Baraka” and “The Floating Plan”, but here the matter was heavy and required great focus, because it is not an easy step.
* Were you technically separated from your colleagues in the Misr Theater?
“It will never happen. Sometimes we may have to work separately from each other, but we still maintain our relationship together and are in constant contact. We are friends for life, and it is not just a working relationship.”
What is the story of the movie “The Yellow Duck”?
“This film is a different and new experience for me, whether on a personal or subject level in general, especially since it relies on the comedy of the situation as well, and I cooperate through it for the fourth time with Ghada Adel after previous artistic experiences in cinema and theatre. There is a strong “artistic chemistry” that brings us together. What contributes to presenting the works smoothly and with understanding. The film is directed by Issam Nassar, and during the events I embody the personality of a professor of psychology who continues to prepare for his doctoral dissertation, and suddenly finds himself involved with the “yellow duck” gang, where the story will highlight its story and secrets.
What about the movie “The Boogeyman”?
“The movie “The Bogeyman” brings me together with Amir Karara, and he is one of the stars close to me, and I am happy to cooperate with him. It is a comic action movie, and the new one that he showed is my presentation of the action, but in a comic way. In order to complete the remaining scenes intensively, and we finished them completely, and in this film I embody the character “Sokka”, a friend of Amir Karara, who was a criminal and abandoned crime, and we face together many comic situations, written by Ihab Blebel, and directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi.
