British shoe brand opens second store in Düsseldorf

The shoe brand Dr. Martens opened their second store in Düsseldorf with a store on Schadowstrasse. The main headquarters and the associated showroom of the British brand will also be relocated from the Media Harbor to the city centre. Only four years ago, the shoe manufacturer gained a foothold in Düsseldorf for the German-speaking region and has since expanded its presence by eighteen stores.

While consumers can shop for shoes on the ground and first floors, the third and fourth floors will now be the new home for the local office team and showroom.

The Düsseldorf artist Takumi Ogata designed five entire walls of the 121.2 square meter sales area. To date, this is the largest area in the world that a Dr. Martens Store dedicated to a local artist.
