Enemy attacks
Over the past day, the enemy launched 41 air strikes and fired 53 rocket launchers. Civilians suffered, private houses and other civil and administrative infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
The situation on the front
In Volyn and Polesie directions operational environment without significant changes.
On the Seversky and Slobozhansky directions the enemy launched an air strike near Dovzhanka, carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Khrenovka, Elino and Gremyach of the Chernihiv region and Gudovo, Volkovka, Bunyakino, Stukalovka, Volfine, Novonikolaevka, Stognia, Udy, Strelka, Glubokoye, Morokhovets, Liptsy, Neskuchnoye, Ogurtsovo, Gatishche, Pletenovka, Volchansk, Varvarovka, Nesternoye, Budarki and Dugouts in the Kharkiv region.
On the Kupyansky direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Masyutovka area. Inflicted air strikes near Kislovka and Kotlyarovka. Artillery and mortar shelling of the enemy were carried out by Kamenka, Topol, Krasnoe Pervoe, Novomlynsk, Dvurechnaya, Masyutovka, Malaya Shapkovka, Kondrashovka, Kupyansk, Tabaevka and Berestovo of the Kharkov region and Stelmahovka – Luhansk.
On the Liman direction the enemy led offensive operations in the direction of Belogorovka, but had no success. There he launched an airstrike. Artillery attacks were made on Nevsky and Belogorovka in the Lugansk region and Torsk and Disputed in the Donetsk region.
On the Bakhmut direction during the day the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Khromovoe. Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Bakhmut, Ivanovsky, Belaya Gora, Ozaryanovka and Toretskaya. Kramatorsk, Vasyukovka, Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka, Bakhmut, Ivanovskoye, Stupochki, Konstantinovka, Belaya Gora, Toretsk, Severnoye, Yuzhnoe and New York of the Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.
On the Avdeevsky direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Pervomaisky. Inflicted air strikes in the areas of Novokalinovoe and Avdeevka. Keramik, Ocheretino, Lastochkino, Avdeevka, Severnoye, Vodyanoye, Pervomayskoye, Netaylovo, Karlovka and Nevelskoye in Donetsk region came under fire from the invaders.
On the Maryinsky direction Numerous enemy attacks were repulsed in the area of the city of Marinka. Krasnogorovka, Georgievka, Maksimilianovka, Kurakhovo and Pobeda of the Donetsk region were also subjected to enemy shelling.
In the Mining area the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Prechistovka, shelled, in particular, Paraskoveevka, Novomikhailovka, Vugledar, Bogoyavlenka, Zolotoy Niva and Velikaya Novoselka.
On Zaporozhye and Kherson directions the kafirs are on the defensive. Enemy airstrikes were recorded on the settlements of Gulyaipole, Malaya Tokmachka and Stepnoye in the Zaporozhye region, as well as shelling of Vremovka, Burlatsky, Novoselka, Zeleny Pole in the Donetsk region; Olgovsky, Hulyaipol, Zheleznodorozhny, Belogorye, Malaya Tokmachka, Maly Shcherbakov and Kamensky Zaporozhye region. Also, Zolotaya Balka, Vesele, Cossack, Lvov, Antonovka, Kizomis, Stanislav of the Kherson region and Kherson came under enemy artillery fire.
Enemy losses
Aviation of the Defense Forces in a day made 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the enemy, of which 3 – on anti-aircraft missile systems.
Also, over the past day, our soldiers destroyed an enemy Ka-52 attack and reconnaissance helicopter, 4 Shahed-type attack UAVs and 1 Zala-type reconnaissance drone.
Missile troops and artillery units hit 3 command posts, 4 areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition train, 2 artillery units in firing positions and 3 more important enemy targets.
As of the morning of May 23, 204,360 Russians had been killed. Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have eliminated 480 invaders, 4 cruise missiles, a helicopter and 40 artillery systems.
