“Rafael Nadal Withdraws from French Open: Latest Updates and Reactions”

At a press conference last week, the Spaniard announced his waiver for the French Open (from May 28th to June 11th live and on-demand at discovery+) announced.

“It’s very difficult for me. I don’t plan to play in the next few months. It’s a decision my body made,” said Nadal, who triumphed in the French capital last year.

A few weeks ago, Federer had described a possible exit from his Spanish friend at Roland-Garros as “brutal for the sport”. Most recently, the Mallorcan did not take part in the French Open in 2004.

An unprecedented series followed: he won 112 of his 115 matches and raised the Coupe des Mousquetaires 14 times to the Paris sky. A dominance to which the tennis maestro also bowed. Nadal’s record at the French Open is “one of the most incredible records in the history of all sports,” Federer ennobled on Twitter.

Not only the Swiss will miss the clay court king on his Court Philippe-Chatrier.
