On June 26, 2022, Emelie dies at the age of 11 from the consequences of her brain tumor. Paul visits the family in the last episode to reminisce about the resilient young girl. The presenter speaks with her twin sister Isa and she misses everything about Emelie. “Her talk and her fun. I just thought that was fantastic. Her humor too. She was so funny.”
When Paul asks her what it is like to have to live without her sister, Isa says that it cannot be expressed in words. “You just can’t describe it. Isa says that she still finds it difficult to deal with the grief. “Sometimes I kick something or something. Or then I just throw my pen against the window. I don’t know how to throw my emotions out. So then I cry or break things.” When the pain becomes too much for her, she often prefers to be alone. “Sometimes I don’t want to talk to anyone and then I think: everyone can go somewhere else.” However, she understands that life goes on in the meantime. “Life just goes on.”
