Four investors are currently working to turn a disused tuberculosis sanatorium at Harastølen in Luster in Sogn into a hotel. Since the start in 2016, the four have been plagued by burglaries.

This week, one of the investors’ employees managed to photograph two people who were in the process of carrying away things they had taken from the site, writes Sogn Avis.

The picture was then posted on social media, and the thieves returned the items in exchange for the picture being deleted. Now the upcoming hotel will set up surveillance cameras.

– We are not afraid to post pictures of people breaking in to find out who it is. It was very effective this time, says one of the investors, Terje Svindland, to Sogn Avis.

A couple of weeks ago, Sarpsborg woman Ann Kristin Marthinsen went to the Gatedalen waste disposal facility to dispose of rubbish in connection with moving.

To her great dismay, she learned after the trip that she had handed in all the clothes that belonged to her husband. When she went back to the facility, she was told that they had most likely been burned up.

Then came the counter-message, from a young man who worked at the facility. The clothes might not have been taken away after all.

– He said it could be a possibility that the waste from the day before had not been taken away. He asked me in, I put on work gloves and started digging in the large pile of waste inside the area. After two hours I found one bag of clothes, and later we found the other. Then there was cheering, explains Marthinsen.

A new report from Sifo shows that the prices of essential goods such as food and drink have increased more than twice as much as the general price increase in the past year.
