“Cantabria reports 15 new COVID-19 cases in people over 60 years of age”

SANTANDER, 23 (EUROPA PRESS)

Cantabria has detected a total of 15 new cases of Covid-19 in people over 60 years of age this Monday, which is eleven more than the previous day, while the rest of the indicators continue for another day without significant changes.

According to the latest data from the Cantabrian Health Service (SCS) corresponding to the end of May 22, in the last seven days 72 new cases have been recorded in people over 60 years of age -the only group for which transmission data is given-, which amount to 125 if 14 days are taken into account.

The cumulative fourteen-day incidence in the elderly has remained at 71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and has risen to 41 in seven days, two more than on Sunday.

Both parameters are at low risk, although Cantabria as a whole remains at controlled risk.

On the other hand, there are still 13 hospitalized due to Covid and the occupancy of beds continues at 0.8%, while the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) treats one patient, with an occupancy rate of 0.9%.

Of the total admitted, six are in the Marqus de Valdecilla Hospital, including the ICU; five in Sierrallana; and three at the Laredo Hospital.

In addition, no new deaths from Covid have been reported, with which the number of victims since the start of the pandemic in Cantabria remains at 1,025.
