On May 23, 2023, at around 2:15 p.m., a 61-year-old car driver drove from Scheuerlenstrasse onto the main road. In doing so, she disregarded a car of a 40-year-old driver who was coming from the left and was on the priority road. As a result, the two vehicles collided on the side, with the car of the person who caused the accident being turned away and coming to a standstill on the side of a metal railing.
The 40-year-old driver sustained minor injuries and received first aid from the rescue workers on site. A hospital stay was not necessary. The vehicles were recovered by a requested towing company. The total damage caused is estimated by the police at around 8,000 euros.
The main road in this area had to be closed for the duration of the accident investigation, which resulted in slight traffic delays.
The fire brigade from Neustadt was on site to provide technical support.
The Titisee-Neustadt police station has started the investigation and is asking any witnesses to the accident to call 07651 93360.
