“AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers Draw Awaited by National Olympic Team”

The U-23 national Olympic team is awaiting the draw for the qualifiers for the AFC U-23 Championship (Qatar 2024), which will be drawn next Thursday at the Asian Football Confederation headquarters in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, at 11 am UAE time.

The qualifiers, which will start from the 4th to the 12th of next September, will witness the participation of 43 teams, which will be divided into 11 groups, so that 10 groups include four teams, while there are three teams in the last group, and the matches of each group will be played from one round in a grouping system in one city.

According to the tournament system, the first-placed teams in the 11 groups will qualify for the finals, in addition to the four best second-placed teams, joined by Qatar, the organizing country, to participate in the finals that will be held in Doha from April 15 to May 3, 2024.

Our Olympic team came in the first classification, along with the teams of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Japan, Australia, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and Jordan, where the teams were arranged according to the classification of each team in the AFC U-23 Cup in Uzbekistan 2022, while the teams that did not Participate as the lowest rated.
