UAE Airports Record Growth: Over 97,000 Flights in First Four Months of 2023

According to data obtained by «Emirates Today», a copy of which, UAE airports recorded record growth levels between January and April 2023, indicating that the airports recorded 25 thousand and 96 flights in January, 22 thousand and 641 flights in February, and 25 thousand and 82 flights in March. , and 24,381 flights in April.

This increase reflects the continuation of national carriers’ flights to most destinations, compared to levels before the “Covid-19” pandemic, in addition to the launch of more new stations within its global network.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation revealed that the number of passengers through the country’s airports increased by 56.3% during the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year 2022, which confirms the sector’s success in restoring the levels of passenger traffic recorded before the “Covid-19” pandemic.

The number of passengers through the country’s airports reached 31,862,635 during the first quarter of this year, compared to 20,381,324 during the same period in 2022, an increase of 11,481,311 passengers.

The authority expected the continued growth of air traffic at the country’s airports during the current year, thanks to the achievements of the UAE aviation sector.
