“Hérault Gendarmes Award ‘César for Biggest Offender on the Road’ in Humorous Anti-Speeding Campaign during Cannes Film Festival”

The gendarmes of Hérault have again chosen the register of humor to denounce very high speeding. While the Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, they award “the César for the biggest offender on the road” to a motorist flashed at 154 km / h on a secondary road.

The Hérault gendarmes continue their series of humorous posts, on social networks, to denounce excessive speeding on the roads of the department. After “Dédé and his acrobatics”, “A bit of math with Dédé” and “Dédé the biker”, they do it again with a new episode called “Dédé is back”.

In the middle of the Cannes Film Festival, the gendarmes play this time on the cinematographic register to tell their last big catch, as if it were a scenario for the big screen: “Imagine the scene… it was a Friday, May 19, a rather peaceful morning, quite sunny weather“, they write on Facebook. And to continue:The main character is often the undisputed master of speeding, and well, he’s back (alas) and this time we were between the Cannes red carpet and the Monaco Grand Prix!

So on May 19, while patrolling the town of Argelliers, officers from the motorized brigade of Lodève intercepted a motorist who was traveling at 154 km/h on a road limited to 90. In the car, the driver was with his four children.

On Facebook, the gendarmes tell the rest of the story with humor, always borrowing from the register of cinema: “The Caesar of the biggest offender on the road is thus awarded to him for his performance… In the category best male interpretation of DEDÉ, the performance was close to drama, far from comedies“.

In the photo that illustrates their post, the gendarmes went to the end of their scenario. The large displacement taken in excess of speed was hoisted on a tow truck which seems for the occasion to have taken out “the red carpet”. On the photo, obviously “rigged”, the gendarmes even added the famous “Caesar” awarded to the motorist who was a little too in a hurry.
