Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel created the Snapchat logo design by visualizing ghosts. Then the simple ghost line that has been made turns out to be inspired by a Wu-Tang Clan member, Ghostface Killah. So the ghost design logo of the logo is named Ghostface Chillah, according to SlashGear.

As is well known, Spiegel previously designed a logo with ghost visuals for its predecessor application, namely Picaboo. This predecessor application can work almost similar to Snapchat, namely users can send photos that disappear when opened.

Over time, the ghost design on the Snapchat application has changed slightly. Originally the logo had two eyes and a tongue sticking out. Then at this time the design was more minimalist and finally turned into the logo that is known today.

Apart from the main unique icon with ghost design, there is a not much attractive yellow background. It turned out that the reason Spiegel used the yellow background was that at that time no other platform used the yellow color.

Some people assume that Spiegel chose yellow as the background, because that color is synonymous with joy and fun. In addition, the yellow background color on Snapchat can also immediately draw people’s attention to the logo.
