“Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Release Date, Specs, and Design Leaks”

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will reportedly be released at the end of July. Several leaks about this folding cell phone have been popping up on the internet.

According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will carry a book-like design, just like its predecessor. This cellphone can be folded and spread to the side.

The screen has speed refresh 120Hz, 3 cameras on the back, chipset class flagshipand also water-repellent capability with IPX8 certification.

No Gap Screen Design

Starting from the biggest complaint that the Galaxy Z Fold has, namely the gap that remains when closing the cellphone. Recent reports claim that Samsung is finally ready to fix this with a new hinge design that will close flat.

Galaxy Z Fold5 will not be more compact than its predecessor series. The report mentions that the device foldable This new smartphone will have very similar dimensions to the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The Z Fold5 will measure 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.1 mm when unfolded and 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.4 mm when folded.

The upcoming device is said to weigh 254 grams which is 9 grams lighter than the Z Fold 4.

There’s still no word on the specifications of the inner display, but it’s expected to be a 7.6-inch panel as it currently is.

No S Pen

You can be sure that this cellphone will not carry the S Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold5’s internal display will support S Pen input, but the phone won’t have a built-in slot for stylus.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will use the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Last year, the S22 Ultra had the Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while the Galaxy Z Fold4 uses the more efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, it looks like this year there won’t be any difference in chipset.

Camera

Samsung will most likely stick with the 50MP ISOCELL GN3 sensor from the Galaxy Z Fold4 as the main lens for the Galaxy Z Fold5.

For other speculations, Samsung will make improvements to the two selfie cameras, ultrawide and 3x zoom.

The truth of these various leaks cannot be confirmed until the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is officially launched on the market. We’ll wait!
