It probably got there during the mass shelling of Ukraine on December 16
In Poland, they found a warhead from a Russian missile that fell on Polish territory in December. This was announced by the head of the administration of the President of Poland, Pawel Schroth, UNIAN writes.
A Russian missile warhead was found in a forest near the town of Bydgoszcz in central Poland. Earlier in April, fragments of the center and tail parts of this missile were found.
According to Schroth, the warhead was made of concrete and contained no explosives. This missile was originally a decoy target used by Russian forces to overcome Ukrainian air defenses during a massive shelling on December 16.
Asked by a journalist about the personal fallout for the Polish military, which missed a Russian missile deep into Polish territory, Schroth said none of the generals responsible, as well as the defense minister, had resigned.
On November 15, the Russian military launched another massive shelling of Ukraine as part of a campaign to destroy Ukrainian energy. Over 90 rockets of various types were launched that day. In the evening of the same day, it became known that a rocket had landed in Poland near the border, killing two Poles. Later it turned out that the missile was Ukrainian – from the air defense.
On December 16, Russia fired again, launching over 70 missiles. It was on this day that a Russian rocket flew over Polish territory. After flying hundreds of kilometers, it crashed in a forest in the very center of Poland without causing any damage. This fact became known only in April, when the fragments of the rocket were accidentally discovered by civilians.
