"Accident in Traun: Unauthorized driver causes collision resulting in injuries"

On Sunday at around 10:44 p.m. in Traun there was an accident in which one of the drivers was not authorized to drive. A 17-year-old from the Linz-Land district drove his car on Böhmerwaldstrasse. At the intersection with Leondingerstrasse, he intended to drive straight ahead into Styriastrasse and crossed the intersection. At the same time, a 23-year-old from the Linz-Land district was driving his car on the L1386 Leondingerstraße in the direction of Traun. The 17-year-old may have overlooked the 23-year-old’s car coming from the right at the intersection and collided with it.

As a result, the 23-year-old’s car overturned and came to rest on its side. The 23-year-old was injured and taken to the UKH in Linz. There were three other occupants in the 17-year-old’s car, with a 15-year-old from Romania being injured and taken to a hospital in Linz. The 17-year-old is reported to BH Linz.
