Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati meets with President of the Asian Football Confederation Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.

His Excellency Mr. Najib Mikati, the Lebanese Prime Minister, received today (Monday) in the capital, Beirut, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, First Vice President of the International Football Association, on the occasion of his current official visit to Lebanon.

Mr. Mikati welcomed Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, praising his fruitful efforts in leading the march of the Asian Football Confederation, and commending the Confederation’s support for Lebanese football at all levels.

For his part, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Najib Mikati for the hospitality, praising the Lebanese government’s support for the football system in the country, which enhances its position on the continental scene.

The President of the Asian Football Confederation reviewed the future plans and programs of the Confederation aimed at developing the outputs of the game in various parts of the Asian continent, stressing the keenness to provide various forms of support and assistance to the Lebanese Football Association in order to improve all aspects of the game.

At the end of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Hashem Haidar, President of the Lebanese Football Association and a number of officials in the Asian and Lebanese Federations, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa presented a souvenir to the Lebanese Prime Minister.
