“MG Motor sees 278% increase in vehicle sales in Germany and expands to Jade-Weser-Port to meet growing demand”

In the first three months, MG Motor sold a total of 3,823 vehicles in Germany – an increase of over 278 percent compared to the first quarter of the previous year. In March alone, 2010 MG models were delivered to customers in Germany. That is 270 percent more than in the same month of 2022. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, MG has become one of the two fastest growing import brands on the German car market.

In view of the increasing numbers in Germany, MG models will in future also get under the wheels in the Jade-Weser-Port of Wilhelmshaven, the only German deep-sea port. With the Mosolf Group, an experienced system service provider for the automotive industry in Europe takes on port logistics. The tasks of the teams of the automotive logistician include unloading the load in the Jade-Weser-Port, storing the vehicles and inland distribution. The extensive and well-connected road and rail network of the port and the region is available for this.

MG Motor now has a market share of 3.3 percent in Germany for vehicles with purely electric drives (BEV). “This is a number that we are particularly pleased about,” comments Philipp Hempel, Sales & Network Director DACH at MG Motor. “Purely electrically powered vehicles are the future of the automobile. The fact that we are constantly increasing our market share in this important segment and are leaving more and more established manufacturers behind shows how attractive our model range is in competition.” (aum)
