Adapted from the eponymous novel by Truman Capote, Breakfast Tiffany’s of Blake Edwards is one of his legendary films that forged the legend of New York. Especially the opening scene, where her heroine Holly Golightlyperformed by Audrey Hepburngoes to the early morning, still in evening dress, in front of the shop Tiffany & Co of the Fifth, to sip his coffee while admiring the finery of the jewelry house. A whimsical habit to which the New York house is giving a new dimension this season with the opening of the Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud.
Tiffany & Co’s New Cafe in New York
At the heart of its new flagship on Fifth Avenue, it is the starred French chef who is developing the menu. Open all day long, you can discover, at breakfast time, “Holly’s favorites”: a croissant with butter and jam. Then at lunch, blue lobster, asparagus or even homemade ravioli parade on the plates. Finally for tea, visitors bite into small English sandwiches, scones and pastries.
