The low-cost airline in European airspace wants to charge 10 percent more for a flight than before the corona pandemic.
Ryanair hopes to transport 10 percent more passengers this year, namely 185 million. This summer, the airline wants to fly according to the most extensive timetable ever. It concerns almost 2,500 routes and more than 3,000 daily flights.
But the company is holding back some tricks. Ryanair is also struggling with a delayed delivery of Boeing aircraft. Competitor Transavia has had to cancel flights for weeks due to a shortage of aircraft.
Ryanair is also dependent on the course of the war in Ukraine. The increased fuel prices will probably cost the airline an extra 1 billion euros next year. Given the expected growth, the low-cost fighter thinks it can absorb this setback.
The turnover of the Irish airline company doubled last financial year, which runs from March to March at Ryanair. A profit of 560 million euros remained. A year earlier, Ryanair suffered a loss of almost 1.5 billion euros. This was mainly due to the consequences of the corona crisis, which depressed income.
