Jaffar Idukki Talks About Acting and LJP: A Sneak Peek into the Actor’s Mindset

Actor Jaffer admitted that he does not bother the directors by asking a lot of questions. In an interview to Red FM, Jafar Idukki said that being a mimicry artist, if the director says something, he immediately imitates it and there is such a scene in Jallikattu directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.

‘After I act in a scene, I don’t go to the monitor and watch it. There is no point in feeling sad that our acting has gone bad after the release of the film. We have to think about the film while we are making it.

Most of the characters seen in the movie are people around us. Doctor, engineer, fisherman, tea seller, policeman and many others. Then there are the characters in the big underworld stories that we don’t see. I get paid well for the work I do in films.

When I ask a lot of questions it becomes difficult for the director. I try to avoid such difficulties as much as possible. I ask only essential questions. I think that’s good.

Being a mime artist, if the director tells me something, I can quickly imitate it. An example of that is the kitchen scene in Jallikattu. I imitated director Lijo Jose Pellissery,’ said Jafar Idukki.

Jaffer Idukki’s latest film is Jackson’s Bazar Youth. Directed by Shamal Sulaiman, the film featured Lukman Awaran, Indrans, Chinnu Chandni and Fahim Zafar in other roles.
