The earthquake was at a depth of 2 km

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5 was registered off the coast of Northern California, Reuters reported, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismic Center.

The quake was at a depth of 2 kilometers and occurred 102 kilometers from the town of Petrolia, it is clear from the website of the American Geophysical Institute, where the magnitude is listed as 5.6.
