The youtuber Alexander Otaola announced this week the launch of a documentary, with which he intends to support his political campaign for mayor of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The film will show the path traveled by the presenter, from the beginning of his program Hello Ota-Olain 2016, until the official registration of his candidacy on April 25.
The new documentary will be called Influencerand will exalt the figure of the controversial driver, showing his ideals and aptitudes that would make him an idea for public office.
In this sense, his political activism in favor of the freedom of Cuba, his criticism of the communist regime, and the denunciations he made through his program will be addressed, such as the famous “Red List” in which he pointed out those involved with the dictatorship, which he considers do not deserve to enter the US.
He will also point out the ways in which he has helped Cuban individuals using the projection of his YouTube channel, and the reach he has had in publicizing the situation in Cuba.
The trailer was released this week, and the material was produced by Huracan Films Media and Cubanos por el Mundo, directed by Javier Labrador, while the original idea and executive production came from Otaola himself.
In addition, two of Hola Otaola’s sponsors, Risa Travel and Opportunity Insurance, appear as co-producers. It was also announced that music by Ana María Perera, Aldo El Aldeano, La Diosa and her husband Rey El Mago will be used for the work.
As Otaola explained in his program this Thursday, the premiere will be in June, in a theater in Downtown Miami. So far, there will only be a screening for guests and press, but arrangements are already being made for a screening for the general public.
The youtuber commented that after the documentary is released in theaters, the distributor in charge is going to register it in various festivals, so it cannot publish any preview on networks until the cycle of exhibitions in these circuits is over.
Otaola assured that he was satisfied, and expressed that he loved the work that the team did, which resulted in a two-hour footage.
The presenter gave a preview of what will be seen in Influencerand stated that it offers an outside view of the massive phenomenon of the show, and that all the leads appear.
For now, the presentation on the Otaola networks of the documentary trailer had thousands of reactions and hundreds of positive comments for the driver and candidate.
