The alleged murderer of a family in the small town of Cidra, in the municipality of Unión de Reyes (Matanzas), was arrested this Sunday when he tried to leave Cuba, according to a note released by the Ministry of the Interior and published in several official media.
“The subject was arrested on Jibacoa beach, in the province of Mayabeque,” underlines the note that does not give more details about the murder of the couple made up of Maykel González and Linet Lucía and their eight-year-old son, which has caused outrage and repudiation among Cubans.
According to the information portal CubaNet, the detainee is a former military. “He was in the FAR reserve, but he actually had a mechanic shop that was where he killed Maykel,” public the same medium. He was also a “neighbor and friend of the family.”
