“Bengaluru CM Siddaramaiah Withdraws ‘Zero Traffic’ Protocol After Public Outcry”

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner to withdraw the ‘zero traffic’ protocol. The action was taken after witnessing the travel woes faced by the people. Siddaramaiah himself informed about this through social media.

Zero traffic has been implemented when the Governor, Chief Minister, Home Minister etc. and VIPs related to the central government are traveling. Zero traffic means blocking all other vehicles and making way for VIP vehicles to go smoothly.

Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomme also rejected zero traffic. Instead he was traveling by avoiding signals.
