In 2019, Angèle was forced to come out after a celebrity newspaper revealed her relationship with her ex-girlfriend, Marie Papillon. No one was then aware of his bisexuality among his family and loved ones. Four years later, the singer therefore decided to say more.

“Why didn’t you tell your grandmother right away?” asks Rudy, a journalist with autism spectrum disorder. “I waited until I was 23 to admit to myself that I was really in love with a girl. It was the first time it was so clear. I was in a relationship with this woman, I no longer wanted it to be a secret. When I was a kid, I felt like it wasn’t normal. For some people, this is not normal. So that shouldn’t be a topic anymore. »
Raphael, another journalist with autism, continues: “Are you aware that your relationship with your friend opens people up to homosexuality? “As long as it remains a subject, so much the better if people like me who are influential can serve as examples because it is important to be able to identify with when you grow up […]. I’m glad if I can help. I don’t want to hide it because I find it important to talk about it and make it a normal subject. »
