Brooklyn Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Jesús Pérez: Identity Confirmed by Authorities

They identify the man who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn.

This is Jesús Pérez, a 49-year-old Brooklyn resident.

The event occurred on Friday around 12:30 noon at the intersection of Cinco Sur and Keap streets, in the Williamsburg sector.

Police arrived at the scene alerted by a 911 call for a motor vehicle collision involving a struck-by pedestrian. There they found Pérez lying on the road with trauma to his body.

The Emergency Service took him to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed that the man was involved in a dispute with an unknown driver of a dark-colored Honda pickup, who struck him while he was standing on Keap Street. The vehicle fled the scene and was abandoned in front of 199 Humboldt Street.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
