A Dutch plane crashed in the north of Croatia yesterday. No official information has yet been released about the number of occupants and possible victims.
According to Croatian media the Cirrus 20 aircraft disappeared from the radar around 12:30 p.m. Dutch time. It was en route from the Slovenian city of Maribor to the Croatian coastal town of Pula.
The plane crashed in the wooded area of Mali Makovnik in Lika-Senj province. Some 120 rescuers took part in last night’s search. Drones and helicopters were also used. Just after 7 p.m., the wreckage of the crashed plane was found by rescuers.
Because the area is difficult to reach, the search for victims will resume this morning. Nothing is yet known about the cause of the accident.
