On June 15 in Riga, the IT solutions company Datakom organizes a Business Technology Day, where together with experts from various industries from Latvia and abroad, topical topics such as business digitization and its available financing, cyber security, artificial intelligence and other issues important to the business environment will be discussed.
Datakom organizes the conference together with IT professionals from different countries and leading foreign manufacturers – IBM, Lenovo, Red Hat, Nutanix, HP, Aruba, Cohesity, Datto, Palo Alto Networks – with the aim of showing Latvian companies and state institutions in a practical way how to use various tools improve organizational performance and digitization processes.
Today, IT is no longer a separate industry or department of the company – all the work of the company is related to it. Although digitization has been talked about for many years, there are still companies and organizations that do not do it because they are afraid of the expected inconveniences of the change process, as well as the costs. In order to reduce resistance, experts from the IT cluster and Altum will talk about the currently available national and European funding for digitization. “At the conference, we will talk about the fact that it is not so complicated, and how to do it all more simply: building and maintaining the basic infrastructure, how to implement cloud services, how to properly take care of security already at the moment when the idea for a new mobile app is just emerging, and that, how to technologically correctly connect many options available today,” says Datakom board member Jānis Čupriks.
The conference will also pay a lot of attention to cyber security. Also, experts will discuss the currently so relevant artificial intelligence, in this case – its role in IT system security operations. There will also be stories of companies’ experiences, such as accounting outsourcing company Numeri’s journey to digitization and its benefits in such a traditional industry. In the business world, everyone is concerned about the economic situation and how it will develop in the future. Līva Zorgenfreija, Chief Economist of Swedbank Latvija, will present this topic.
There will be more than ten demo stands at the event, where you can get to know various IT solutions in a practical way and talk with manufacturers’ representatives and Datakom technical consultants throughout the day. Foreign manufacturers will be represented by IBM, Aruba, Nutanix, Cohesity, Red Hat, Palo Alto Networks, Datto. Also, Datakom will present its solutions Tiki Taka Pay, Worry-Free Digital Workspace and Datakom security assessment, as well as Hybrid Cloud and migration services.
Business technology day will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the conference center ATTA CENTER, 60 Krasta Street, Riga.

Datakom is holding the business technology day for the second time. The first one took place last year, when the company realized that there is a need for information in the market, and individual customer consultations on one specific technology alone are not enough. Datakom is a 100% Latvian company owned by local owners.
