Shortly after the incident, a 27-year-old suspect was arrested by the police and taken into custody. He was referred to the Grenoble public prosecutor’s office on Saturday and was placed in pre-trial detention before being tried in immediate appearance on Monday, confirmed the public prosecutor Eric Vaillant to the Dauphiné Libéré.
On Friday, a 24-year-old young man was injured in the hand by a man armed with a knife, in Saint-Martin-d’Hères. The scene took place in a C5 bus around half past midnight at rue Marceau-Leyssieux.
For a simple look, the young man found himself with a knife placed under his throat by his attacker. It was while struggling that the victim was injured in a hand in circumstances that have not yet been precisely established. The young man was taken to Michallon Hospital for treatment.
Later, the police officers who intervened at the scene of the attack noticed a man corresponding to the description which had been transmitted to them, avenue Ambroise-Croizat. Recognized by witnesses, this 27-year-old suspect was arrested and placed in police custody for “aggravated violence”.
