KRISTIANSUND (VG) It was a family member who alerted the police when a married couple in their 70s were found with gunshot wounds in Kristiansund on Friday.
Police prosecutor Merethe Falkevik in the Møre and Romsdal police district tells VG on Saturday.
The police were notified around 3.30pm on Friday. The couple were found on their own property, the man inside the house and the woman outside. Both had gunshot wounds.
The police do not suspect that any other people are involved in the case.
– Was there anyone who witnessed what happened?
– The investigation is now focusing on who has seen what, says Falkevik.
Police found a handgun at the scene. It was legally registered, confirms police attorney Falkevik.
Neither of the two deceased were known to the police.
