Dudleytown is a village located in a valley Dark Entry Forest, which is a few miles south of the Cornwall Bridge. The village was given the name Dudleytown in early 1747 when Gideon Dudley, Barzilai Dudley, Abiel Dudley, and Martin Dudley settled there with several other families.

Dudleytown was converted into the Dudley family farm. However, because it is located on a hill, the location is not suitable for farming, so when more fertile land became available in the 19th century, the village’s population quickly declined. Since then, Dudleytown has turned into a dark and desolate place, as well as a more isolated part of Cornwall.

The Happening of a Series of Unfortunate Events

There are a number of strange things going on in Dudleytown that seem to make the location more vulnerable to the death of its inhabitants than anywhere else. Some of Dudley’s members move on and have normal lives, while Abiel decides to stay and ends up losing his fortune before ending up losing his mind.

His property was confiscated and sold. He also went crazy and suffered from senility. A friend of Abiel, Gershon Hollister, who was building a shed for his neighbor, William Tanner, was found dead after being killed.

Then Tanner himself became mentally handicapped and senile. Rumor has it that he spoke of creatures coming out of the forest at night, but these occurrences have been linked to dementia.
